Tire Pressure Sensor Issue / ??
I've only got about 1650 miles on my IS and it seems that approx. every 500 miles the low tire pressure warning light comes on. I've got a pump in my garage but this is completely ridciulous. I took it to the delaer the 1st time and they gave me the "this is normal with 18" tires" line which I feel is BS.
I checked them myself the last time it came on and my passenger rear was waaay down. I don't think this is normal and may be attributed to a bad seal when they installed the Spiders.
Just scheduled an appt. for a rear deck rattle/squeak and wnat them to address this tire issue as well.
Anybody else with 18" Spiders losing air a bit too frequently.?

RIDICULOUS If this was normal to 18" tires then we would have known and discussed it by now. This is definitely not normal and whoever told you is stupid, talk with a service manager to get it resolved.

Have you checked to make sure you didn't pick up a screw or a nail in the tire? That, or a poorly sealed bead (mounting issue) are a few common things that can cause a slow leak.
Normally, the shop would pull the wheel off and check the tire with water and soap to find the leak.

I agree with Bichon. Are you losing air in one tire or all four? How much are you losing each time when the TPMS comes on?
I had a similar issue with the MDX I just sold where one tire would leak very slowly. Good Year gave me the "hole in the sidewall, needs replaced" bit. Sears said tire is fine and there is corrosion in the wheel and sanded the wheel.
The leak continued and I was beginning to think maybe Goodyear was right but when I took it to Acura, they found two tiny holes (sort oflike big staple going through) and patched them. No leak since.
If you rleak is always one wheel, it is probably tire related since you can't develop corrosion so fast. It it is all four, it could be wheel mounting. If your pressure drop is minimal, then it may be one or more of your TPMS.
