Thumbs down Scratches in the Windshield

Just noticed two annoying scratches about 10 inches long in the drivers side of the windshield running vertically so they are not from the wipers. I have only used clean lint free cloths to wipe the windshield down in the past. These may have been there since delivery. I checked on another Lexus forum and two other people have had problems with scratches on the windshield of their 2G IS's. WTF? I have never had scratching issues on any of my other vehicles.

This combined with my Snap, crackle, pop in the ventilation; and the constant steering pull to the right even after alignment by the dealer is starting to p!ss me off.

i think some others may have that too because i also have scratches in my glass and only noticed it when i put 13% tint on...so it could be a defect not sure tho.

Scratches should have been at least as obvious, if not more so, without tint. Are you sure it wasn't your tint installer that scratched the glass?

Yeah, likely scratech by the installer. Modern auto glass is pretty soft (safety) compared to glass in the old days, which was more brittle.

I had a scratch on the passenger side front seat side window when i first purchased my IS in October. Dealer brought in a glass tech who filled the scratch and made it look good as new. No complaints from me. I have had a great experience from my dealer, Cherry Hill Lexus, so far.
