Took delivery of my First Lexus!
I went to pick up my first Lexus on Friday, 4/28. It is a Tungsten Pearl/Sterling IS350 with Luxury Package - 18 inch wheels and Nav w/ Mark Levinson audio.
I was quite surprise to have found out via email by the fleet manager I was working with that my car had arrived on Wednesday. I have read several posts about how several of our CL members have waited as long as four months before they took delivery. My wait was about less than 4 weeks from when we agreed on the price to actual delivery. I did this all via email. I only went to the dealership to test drive and, of course, take delivery . It was through an allocation request.
I am pretty excited. I only drove it on Friday. Haven't had the time to drive it around more and play with all the neat gadgets. I have been busy working on preparing another driveway - I need room for the IS.
The ride home was awesome except for the small droplets of rain that fell on the car. It had to rain somewhat on that day. Usually Phoenix hardly gets much rain. Same thing happened two years ago when I purchased an 04 Toyota Tundra Double Cab (Keeping it all in the Toyota family ) - it rain that day.
Anyways, the mod bug has started. I just ordered the Fabulous front and rear body kit and the OEM spoiler and I need some tint.
I am glad I found this forum.
