I"m glad you posted this. I have the exact same car/color and was contemplating putting a spoiler on it so now I can see what it would look like.

may I ask what total cost was including installation?

Hey Bart - I have a spoiler on order. You mentioned that you installed it on your own, was it fairly simple? are there any special tools that you need for installation?

I would like to install myself, but don't want to screw it up.

Thanks,
Travis

its funny cause the spoiler looks so much larger in pics, but in real life its quite small. more subtle than anything which is fine with me. but i would never pay $500 like the dealer wants. got mine n/c when i bought the car.

Skorpio, that looks really sweet! Who on Ebay did you get it from? Can you explain how you did it? I'm assuming you drill some holes for this?

Fairly simple but still felt weird to drill in my 45k car anyways, you just need a drill and a 10mm ratchet wrench with lots of extensions or a skinny hand. The only problem I had was to totally remove the trunk lid backing. I could not remove the anti trap handle and therefore had to bend the backing away to get to the screws. so.....

You get a template with your spoiler if its an OEM part like mine. You stick a template on your car (all alignment marks are there, you cant go wrong, just read the instructions before you start)
Than drill 3 holes (5mm dia if I remember correctly) than remove template and (you might use some kind of rust inhibiter on the exposed metal as I did) and than place the spoiler over the trunk, now read the manual to see how to remove protective plastic from the sticky tape.

its really not that hard. I never installed a spoiler bit it is really straight forward.

regards, Bart.
