Default Please let me know about 2IS USA specification.

Hi All,

I'm very interested in 2IS of USA specification.
One of them, Please let me know about front break caliper.
Attached picture is front break caliper of my IS250. As you can see, the break caliper has no cover. IS350 has plastic cover.
I think that the break caliper of your IS250 has cover.
Is it right ?

Thanks,

leather is standard on USDM IS, what about japan. IS350 has larger brakes and calipers than the 250 here, probably there also

I would suspect that the Jp brakes are different........

They have seriously different requirements then US spec vehicles as far as braking goes. I was in route to Iwakuni for work and thought about bringing my car, till I found out is was going to cost almost $2k to "retrofit" my car with Jp spec equipment..........no thanks......

meaning JP has higher standards ( i would think so ), even tho his 250 breaks look kinda poopy.

I'm not sure if they are better or worse......but a buddy who is over there got and estimate for my car and I decided that it was not worth it.

Motorcyles have to do the same thing.........I had 2 strikes against me then, as I had a bike I wanted to take as well. He suggested that I buy a a car when I got there.

apparently since lexus is a new brand over here in japan, it is still way too expensive for the regular person to own; might as well pay less for the bmw or mercedes.
