Default Mirror Coverage for clear bra

For those who has clear bra installed,

I have the VentureShield film installed and notice that the side mirror is only covered up to half way of the mirror, literally leaving a seam in the middle of the mirror if you look side-way.

The shape of the mirror looks like an undersized version of the mirror concour. And the seam doesn't coincide with the existing design groove, makig it a pretty ood look.

I pretty much believe it is an Invisible Pattern pre-cut design.

How does your mirror film look like?

Typo. I meant to say "the shape of the mirror film looks like an undersized version of the mirror contour."

Mine isn't covered completely as well. A 3M kit was used for my car. I don't think it's much of a bother anyways; I'm more concerned about the body of the side mirrors, rather than its edges as they are less likely to have deep chips/scratches.

Mine start on the flat part of the inside next to the car following the edge, then pulled across the fwd facing (rear section of the contour) its split in the middle to straddle the seam and maximize coverage arount the outside corners and not quite to the top seam ridge. Very nicely done. I got the same venture film on mine... infact I met the regional dealer/installer for the company and he was like.. damn.. thats good work on the mirrors.

It's not too clear on your pics, but it looks like it has MORE coverage than my 3M film.

AndyL - Can you wax over the top of the clear bra or do you have to wax around it?

You can wax over the film but you have to be careful around the edge so wax does not build up.

Yes, it can be waxed over. Just be careful not to wax across the seam or you will have the wax buildup and you need the time to clean it up.

In fact, on the VentureShield warrranty card, a line says "Apply a good grade of automotive wax to your VentureShield film precisely as you would to the underlying paint finish"

linh811,

you should see that there is a seam which is not in line with the edge of the mirror..

So that's the best coverage for the mirrors for those who got the bra installed?

May I ask if there is anyone who would like to post a pic of their mirror with the clear bra?

Thanks.
