Default Golf Clubs

I'm new here, great forum. I plan on purchasing a IS350 in the next couple of weeks, yes another TX owner. Will my golf clubs fit in the trunk?

Thanks,

Paul

It will, along with your caddy.

Yes, the car has a little door in the trunk that connects to the interior of the car and allows golf clubs to be stored.

When I was on a golf trip to Phoenix, I was also shopping for an IS 250. I actually tested how my clubs (Ben Hogan Cart Bag) would fit. No problems. They went in about the same as my current car (Hyundai Elantra).

Fits perfectly in the trunk, no need to take out your driver. Long time ago I had a VW Golf, ironic because I had to take out the driver out of my bag to put my bag in and the car is named Golf!

vmishka,

Did they fit through the door as Alex stated?, or do they fit longways towards the back?

Thanks

I went this past weekend and fit to large size bags and clubs in the trunk with no problem. I would say many be able to fit 3 normal size bags

Normally, I lay the clubs lengthwise across the width of the car towards the back end of the car (i.e., not deep into the trunk, and not along the length of the car). That's the only way I tried it. The bag and clubs went in smoothly.

One thing I liked compared to my current car. The "metal rod" (sorry I don't know a better name for it) on which the lid of the trunk slides in the Lexus is "enclosed." It is not exposed and it does not move. There is no chance that the "rod" will hit the bag and prevent the trunk lid from closing. In my current car that is not the case and one sometimes has to fiddle with the position of the bag to get the trunk to close.

Yep, I fit two cart bags and a carry bag this past weekend, yeah spring is here! And, I three putted 5 times but still managed an 88, doh!

You should be able to fit 3 carry bags no problem - and that's postitioned perpendicular to the front. Part of my test drive included fitting my golf clubs into the trunk and the salesperson stated that Lexus had already thought of that. The space behind the rear wheels was designed to accommodate golfs clubs (not lenghtwise through the ski sack/aperture) - although I'm not sure if there's too much truth to that (about the engineering for golf clubs specifically).

Thank you for all the responses. I was a little nervous when I took a test drive and looked at the trunk, but now I know this car is for me.

I've been waiting for someone to pose this question b/c I was afraid of what the answer might be. I have a TaylorMade 10.5 staff bag and I can barely get it to fit on a cart. It would've really sucked if I couldn't pull up to the clubhouse in my brand new 2IS.

Yup...should fit with no problem! The first week I got mine, I took a friend to play golf and both our golf bags fit perfectly. I didn't even need to use that access door some of the guys mentioned.

dont be fooled by the slot in the trunk...its not as big as you think it is. No snowboard will ever fit through there.
