i have a luxery packaged IS. meaning standard ride height and ugly *** pedals.

but i have non-illuminated aluminum scuff plates. someone screw up in japan? and anyone think i could maneuver this at the dealer to get them illuminated for free since 'thats why i bought the luxery package' or so i could tell them...

well, if you bought lux package, it should come with the door sills. so the dealer should give them to you for free for sure, at the very least.

ah but i'd rather have aluminum illuminated ones. an you can buy them from lexusparts.com or whatever that site it, just the lighting part. wondering if i can persuade them into just doing that

wait... you've confused me. lux package should already come with those aluminum illuminated scuffplates. if it doesn't, they should give you illuminatd scuffplates for free. since.. they should already be there. am i reading this thread correctly? :-/

Double check to make sure if it's not "activated". When I went to test drive a IS with Luxury Package, the door sills wasn't lit up. So I'm not sure if there is supposed to be a way to turn it on.

But say you did get the Lexus non-illuminated scuff plates, you should be able to demand to get it swapped out cause you did purchase the Luxury Package.

I thought I didn't get them at first, but after reading on the forum, I found out that the you must switch the door light switch to "door" or "on" for them to turn on. Try that and it should make the scuff plates light up like a Christmas tree!!!!
