Hey Guys,

First off, i just wanted to let you know that you guys have an amazing forum. I use to have a mazda3 sport (traded it in for my new IS250 AWD) and found that forums were much more informative than any dealer was. I got my IS 250 within 24 hours of first test driving it so i really do not understand why everyone has to wait a few months of getting theirs? Oh well, my insurance quote that i got was $550/month. I think it is becuase the car is still new and is obviously a luxury brand so parts are more expensive and theft is going to be more of an issue than it would be on a corolla.

$550/month with a clean driving record? That sounds crazy to me, unless you have tickets/accidents on your record. Did you get quotes from multiple companies?

I'm sorry but 550/month is highway robbery. Shop around and call every major insurance company. You can do an online quote as well on their websites. I got quoted 1850/6 months by State Farm when i have a perfect driving record. I called around and found Geico who quoted me around 750/6 months. If theres any theft going on here, its your insurance company man.

Hey,

I hear you but there are a couple contributing factors. Mainly because I am the primary driver and I just turned 20. I also have 2 speeding trickets (nothing big), and they only make up for an additional $500/year. i definately did shop around and got the absolute best price out there. It sucks though because for the price i am paying for the car, plus insurance, i can lease something like a 5 series or a CLK. Even though I would never do anything like that because i absolutely love my IS.

I noticed his location is listed as ON. I'm guessing that's Ontario Province, Canada. So it's $550CDN. That's $473.55 using the 4/5/06 exchange rate. Still high, but a little lower...
