The shape of the wheel center/spoke has as much to do with clearance as the offset.

Glad they work out for you. All the others are saying is that the +40 offset worked out with these wheels but not every 20x8.5 +40 will fit around the BBKs like this.

I agree, you still need to do some research before you buy your wheels. I was assred they will fit by another member of the forums that has him on his car (tim) . This wheel itself is pushing it, its barely touching as you can see. remember RESEARCH

Don't forget to take into account wheel flex for clearance purpuses, that wheel spoke is really close!
