i don't think i've been over 80mph. there's too much traffic in L.A. and it would be just my luck i find some sneaky time to head out and go speeding that some cop decides to pull a sting operation. then i'd have to deal with no front plate, blue tinge to headlights, over 6 months with no rear license plate. top it off the red light camera ticket i got last month.

Compared to northern california, LA people drive an average of 110mph! But seriously, unless you drive only at rush hours, you get to cruise with the traffic @ 80-90mph over here.

I moved away from Houston 22 years ago. Went back for a day, last week. On I45 and I59S, *everyone* was doing 80. I had the hottest car on the road, and was being passed by old white vans, and very large pickups, like I was the little old man in the way! Crazy f****ers! Instead of defensive driving classes, they should just force offenders to drive around Houston all day on a weekend.

But, back to the topic, I loved driving Texas to Montana, Nevada, and back to Texas a few months ago. Got to open it up a little in Idaho. Had to back off at 128, though, in the interest of caution.

130 on a road north of Houston. Had a Mustang GT behind me but he just hung back and didn't want to play. It take the curves posted @50 MPH @100MPH without any problems. The ones posted @ 30 lets you test out the brakes.

i never take it near 88...you cant ever be sure when the flux capacitor might kick in

ps - i know the wiggles not appropriate here but theres something soothing about it...

Right now, I'm taking it easy but trust me, once the break in period is over--I will definitely be going 130+ (at least once just to see what it feels like since the track speed was like 145mph). Might as well since our cars are capable of going that fast. No point in not using the speed. If we think that way, we'd all be getting Toyota Prius or something, lol.

I just hit 125mph today for the first time in my IS250. Very smooth and quiet at this speed. I wanna hit 135 mph next when conditions permit to do so.

Ok, now that it's officially broken in, I sped my way past the 129mph mark and right on to 130mph exactly. I was scared out of my mind!!!!! I have never, ever gone that far. I'm still shocked that I even pushed that much. What's the max this car can handle? I know there's no way in hell it can really go 160mph. There's got to be a gas cutoff somewhere.....

I have been reading posts of people's European Delivery on their BMW's lately. I think my next car is going to be a BMW so I can go pick up the car in Germany and drive on the Autobaun. Those people that picked up their 335i in germany almost all of them hit 155 mph.

I want to max out my IS250 when I can. I'm gonna try to get it past the 130mph mark and see when the limited kicks in.

When does the lmited kick in for the IS250?? Is it the as the IS350?

142 mph for 350 and 140mph for 250 per new release 07isx50 (due to speed limiter)
