Sports Package - Y/N???

If you only problem is stiffness then get the Sport. Its not much stiffer then the lux. if you dont like the wood get the sport.
Personally the wood was a must for me. Thats what makes it a luxury car. And the 3.5l under the hood makes it a sports car so i feel i got the best of both worlds. I would have like the sport feel but that can be changed. The .5 inch drop i couldnt even tell unless they were sitting side by side and even then is was a very minor change. Its not much of a drop at all. The luxury has the glowing door sill gards and the power rear sun shade. The sport has all Alum. look that i dont like. I used to have a set of the alum. pedals on my honda. They dont fit the 47K price tag i paid for the car. I guess i was going for a more luxury look then a lil sports car.

I ordered the Lux. I like the wood interior and don't really care about the aluminum pedals. As mentioned multiple times previously, you can get lux now and make it a "sport" later, then you have both.

For one they won't add just wood from the factory special order (or any other package item). If in fact wood is a $1200 OEM part, that isn't really a valid comparison. Just like saying adding the factory Nav afterwards would cost >$4000, buying the sport suspension as parts is likely >$2K. That's like saying you want to build an IS from parts. Like that would cost $100K+. Just not realistic.

I like the fact that I won't have to modify my suspension and void any warranties. Yeah, you can't really tell the difference in height, but you can in the ride. I like the alum pedals, they look way better than the rubber ones. Also, is that real wood trim in there? I just don't find wood trim all that luxurious... especially when you start seeing them in a Ford Taurus (rental). I like the aluminum look, it kinda goes with all the techie stuff in the car. I don't need the wood to tell me it's luxurious, the "Lexus" is good enough.

Im wondering which he choose? I still say the big difference is the wood to ALUM.. He even said he dont like the wood. If thats true every day when hes in the car thats mostly what hes going to see. I think it changes the interior big time. The door panels, the center console, the dash everythign has a different look. When people get in your car to go for a ride they will notice the wood or alum alot more then the .5 inch drop and slight difference in ride performance. Also you wont be racing and useing the supension as much as you will be seeing and using the interior. So in conclusion i love the WOOD and say go Lux. package but if he dont like the wood look that would be enough for me to say better get the sports package. The rear window shade and door sills arnt enough for me to look at wood i dont like all day if i dont like the wood.
