Default G-Spiders vs. stock 18's

While I'm waiting for my 350, you guys have been killing me with all these mods . PLEASE STOP!!! Just kidding. I ordered Lux. w/ 18" wheels but have been strongly considering the Spiders. They are similar to the BBS_GT's which I really like, but don't really want to fork out that kind of cash right now. The spiders are close, but, much more affordable. Opinions...

my .02

I have to say I'm not much on changing wheels on a car but if I ever changed the ones on my IS it would definitely be for the G-Spiders!

One of the first IS mods I saw was a red IS with them on (I think they were on LYNREDs car?) and they looked awesome.

Whatever you decide enjoy your new ride, the 350 is sweeeeet.

Wear out your stocks first, and while at it, you've got more time to think of what better rims you want to get. And at the same time, you're saving up money. Just a thought...

Why not the ISP Mode? I got them on my black/black 350 and have no regrets whatsoever - I think they look supersharp and have gotten plenty of compliments on them.

even though my broke butt cant afford anymore cars at the moment, but if i had the new IS i would just simply put the 18" from the new GS on there but would want them in a chrome finish depending on the exterior color. with cars, i like to see the brake rotors an the calipers so that why i like them more than the 18" on the IS but those are still pretty sweet as well

I'd go with the chrome stock 18"s.

If you're thinking of the G-spiders, I think you should spend the extra money on a different aftermarket wheel.

I'm also going the 'burn stocks' upgrade later route, I've done it for all my cars and feel it leads to a more solid decision. The stocks (sport pkg) aren't that bad looking either.

I like the G spyders and the good thing about it is if you get them you won't have to buy new tires, just use the existing stock tires which will save you money.

They're not staggered like the stock 18's though...

DUDE, somehow I had overlooked that. Thanks for bringing that to my attention! That, in and of itself, is probably worth sticking with the stocks.

Initially, the ISP's were my first choice, but after I fell in love with the BBS RS GT's, the spiders kind of grew on me, and are a heck of alot cheaper. Plus, 90%+ of 250/350 owners will have stocks, so I also wanted something to make it a little more unique. Since I'm getting no discount on my car, didn't really want to put $4K in wheels on top of it.
