Just an update on this problem. I have had my IS 350 since November and just hit 12K miles on it and the exact samething happened to me.

The car was dropped off Sat morning and the techs saw several "flagged" issues coming back from the computer. Seeing that there was no senior tech on the floor they decided to keep the car and give me a brand new IS 250 AWD as a loaner. Hopefully by Monday they can give me some more info.

In the mean time I'm going rack up miles on the loaner seeing that i travel roughly 70-85 miles a day for work

Geesh... sorry to hear this!? I wonder if your problem will ALSO be a cracked 02 sensor?
Enjoy the loaner, and your commute.

BTW, can you post your impressions of how much different the acceleration/handling feels in the 250 vs. your 350? Of course we know straight line speed will be day and night, but I wonder what other handling differences you'll notice and how much slower the car feels. Thx and good luck with your car!
