I don't hate them but I don't like them either. I wish there was an option to turn them off though...

goto your car....

1. make sure all lights are off now...
2. start your car... dont touch anything else.
3.. step outside.... u can see DRL lights on in the front of the car.

In BC, Canada, its the law to have DRL's.... It isn't that bad with DRL's.

Honestly, I think the DRL's on this car are pretty lame. Dont flame me for this, but I liked the DRL's on my Pontiac Grand AM WAY better.

And in either case, I don't think DRL's make a safety diffrence for me. The point of nightime headlights is to SEE the car because its DARK. In the daytime, its LIGHT, thus you can SEE the car. Its all bogus laws to me.

I don't mind the DRL's but I will be changing out the bulb for a 5 led type bulb. This makes them white and will match my low beams.

I think you got it mixed up, the bulb that you is changing is a parking light bulb. The DRL is a high beam bulb, so in order to make them white, you got to change your high beam bulb.

If I want my DRLs disabled and I didn't buy the IS at that specific dealer, will they charge/deny/accept me?

Good luck. even at the dealer that you bought your car they wont disable them for you.

Where are you located? Just curious...

They shouldn't charge you anything and trying wont hurt. Just give them the instructions here:

Yes, sorry I did get those mixed up. I meant the parking lights.

From my understanding, there is no way to change out the drl lights to make them white since they are really the high beams running at half voltage. Has anyone changed out their highbeams and if so, any recommendations?
