Factory HID question
The factory HID bulb is a 4300k. Can I replace just the bulb to a 6000k or a 8000k. Will the factory ballast hold up to the new bulbs. Anyone with oem hid's upgrade bulbs.

The D2R and the H4 are types of bulbs.......
If you order D2R's, they are not going to fit in anything other than an OE HID set up. So, if your looking to convert your H11 set up to HID, you'll need the H11 base converted to carry the D2R bulb...Zenondepot.com and a few others have kits for this....

Now I know what bulb I'll need if I ever want to upgrade . Has anyone upgraded their oem hid's yet?

I wouldn't "upgrade" the oem HID--the higher the temperature, the bluer and lower light output. 4300k gives the whitest and brightest light.

I just really miss how bright the GS 430 lights are. If anyone has a '06 gs 300/430 and a '06 is 250/350...they know the difference. Lexus should've made the new IS series as bright.
