I just noticed that I have never seen a Lexus with splash guards. I thinks that splash guards provide projection from the rain, mud snow salt to the paint. Does anyone knows if Lexus offer/sells splash guards?

A colleague just showed me the latest Lexus accessory catalog for the IS; no splash guards were listed.

Given that the IS doesn't even have body side molding to defend against door dings, I'd guess that protecting the paint isn't their top priority.

seriously i think splash guard is completely useless, i would almost want to make sure it doesn't appear on my future cars.

i had that on my acura tl-s. it does close to NOTHING about avoiding mud or rain. during rain, the side of my car was still completely muddy and what not. given at how fast the car goes (anything higher than 30mph), the splash guards catches so little stuff

and worst of all? the splash guard scratched the hell out of the body paint and left a pretty deep mark. talk about "protecting the paint"
