Hey guys sorry to resurrect an old thread but I have to admit I need some help. I just installed a kit on my is250 and my driver side keeps going out. I had the first ballast swapped now I'm on my second one. It works for like 3 days and then just stops but it's only the drivers side. I hear no buzzing from the ballast on the drivers side as opposed to the working ballast on my passenger side. I read somewhere that it may be a polarity issue but I have the cars harnes plugged in correctly (blue-positive plugged into the kits red wire) I can't figure out what the heck is going on. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Swap the good ballast over and see if it blows out. Maybe it's just a ballast quality issue.

The driver side ballast isn't even powering on at all. I had it changed out on Monday and now it's bad again. I was told it may be a polarity issue. Im very frustrated and confused.

JapanRot,

It can't be a polarity issue as if it was a polarity issue the ballast would not have turned on at all. Most likely a quality issue.

Yeah that's exactly what I figured when the guy had mentioned polarity. I did however see that when the hid harness plugged into the cars oem harness the connector had enough room to slide back and forth when I simulated a shaking or vibration it would receive when I would drive the car. So I plugged it in all the way and tapped it together with electrical tape and have been driving with my headlights on everywhere. I haven't seen a problem yet, let's see how it goes. Thanks steve for the response, I wanted to order a kit from you guys but my friend had no patience and bought some for his car and mine as well from a guy we have been dealing locally for years now. If this issue reoccurs I will be returning that kit and buying one from you as I intended from day one.

Steve at XenonDepot. I'm very interested in getting my HID kit from you. Love reading your customer support and your helpfulness. Just had one question though, I've read in several posts, that after installing HID kits, there is a chance of having a computer error message on the speedometer display. Have you heard of this problem with your kits?

jzafra88,

Thank you for your kind words. I have read similar posts so I know exactly what you are talking about. These issues were usually caused by low grade HID ballasts that fail to have any sort of EMI filters. This will not be the case with a XenonDepot HID kit. Did you have any questions about color temperature?

Great! I'm leaning towards 4300k or 5000k. Do you have any sample pics? From what I know, 4300k will have more light output correct?

Also, I was interested in changing the turn signal bulbs in the headlight. Do you have white LED's that are compatible?

^ I should also add that I'm interested in changing my fog lights also to either 4300k or 5000k but installation seems a little more difficult because of the tighter work space in the bumper

jzafra88 - that is correct, 4300k is going to be the brightest as it has the highest lumen rating.

The main difference between 4300k and 5000k is that 4300k will have more of a warm white output whereas 5000k has more of a crisp/ cool output.

4300k HID kit-

5000k HID kit
