Ok, is the white wire with the silver on it that you have to cut on the little 24 pin plug directly next to the J50? If so where do you have to cut it and what do you need to do to it? because on the plug closest to the passenger side there is only one white wire and it doesn't have any silver on it. But the little plug that is in the middle has a little white wire with silver on it in the #4 hole not #16 which someone said earlier. Thanks.

The white wire is on the P1 connector. As you see from my pic, it should located on the far left at the bottom of the P1 connector. here is the DIY link: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=193739

The phone book is now also visible....sorry no pics....I did it at a friends shop an did not have my camera....
So does this also override the the GPS functions that are locked while driving (like entering an address, etc)?????

Thanx...

No, if you bypass the speed input to the nav unit then map updates become jumpy. So you'll have to do the software override (which unfortunately resets every time you turn off the car) to access navi functions while driving.

Well ... what I wanted to hear was, there is an override which takes care of it permanently .. guess you can't always get what you want.

Can you be so kind as to reply with the link on how to do the software override??

thanx ..

Default 'Safe' E-Brake mod? (no speed...)

I imagined that disabling speed input to the nav could give problems (even because I knew that often the best car nav systems use the car speed values to adjust / continue to assess the vehicle position when you r not under satellite coverage - ie in a gallery). But... could the trick explained in advance to ONLY disable the 'parking brake' control (E-brake mod) allow to watch DVD movies on the run without giving any functionality problems? (for kids and with care, of course...)

Many thanks,
Gianluca

So if you just want to do the rolling dvd with the ML version, all you have to do is ground that red wire on the is350?

Default 07 IS350 Navigation Override

Some one please Help, I have 07 IS350 with ML. I cut the Light pink wire on Connector J50 and the White with Silver on connector P1. Exactly how it show on "https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-second-generation/193739-navigation-hack-diy-part-one-enable-dvd-phonebook-and-mp3-folder-while-moving.html". I also Ground the red cable on connector j50. I now have the light on my dash for the ebrake on and when Im driving I am not able to enter an address. So this didn't work for me. Is there a second speed wire.

I did just like in the picture. I connected the white with silver wire with the light pink wire. Also since I ground the Red wire is the brake light always going to stay on.
