Madico Tint

I have it on my car. 15%. Its a great quality tint. Probably not as good as Llumar tint, but I have no complaints at all. I wanted some info on the tint before I installed it as I never heard of it prior to my installation and they told me that 3M makes Matico tint. It is 3 films, 2 protectant films and one tinted film pressed together. They come in a wide variety of colors and percentages. I could definitely recommend it. Just make sure the shop is very good. The shop I go to does an outstanding job. One piece rear window(which all shops should be doing these days) and the tint is right on the edge. Looks like factory tint. Good luck.

i have madico tint on my car also, looks great i have no complaints at all. Make sure you get the charcoal version or else it may interfere with your GPS. Also the lifetime warranty against bubbling and fading is nice also.

Thanks for everyone's input. I'm planning to go to Lorenzo's in the Bronx to get my windows tinted and he mentioned that they use both Solar Gard and Madico, both backed by lifetime warranties. Guess I'll be going with the latter. Would you guys consider $350 for the installation expensive?

Yeah, quite a chunk of change but I feel that it's worth it. Here are some preliminary pics before I take some tomorrow when the sun is out.

Stay Cleer Of Lorenzo's
Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT go to Lorenzo's.. Larry is a total
ripoff and he doesn't even do a good job. The last car he did
of mine started rattling like crazy because he decided to take
off the doorpanels in order to make it easier for him to install,
after he promised me he wouldnt. I know many other ppl's
cars that he butchered as well,, He always used to use Luminar
tint, BTW.. I'll give you a guys number in tarrytown that does a better
job and will charge you no more then 200bucks if you're interested..

Got a question for you guys... is it normal for tint to contain bubbles while it's still drying? I see a bunch of bubbles along the bottom of the rear window. Should I be worried?

Get a credit card or something firm and flat like a spatula, cover it in soft cloth, and then push the bubble from the center of the window out to the sides. It should disappear.
If it does not, then the tint was stretched too much or there is not enough adhesive. That bubble may be permanent. Get this addressed immediately if you cannot rid of the bubble yourself.
Good luck!

Yes i'm talking about the same Lorenzo's that you are,, ppl that have
known him for many years call him "larry".. (spikey black hair,, never stops
talking),, lol,,, hes done a car of mine all the way back in 1990, he's been
around a while,, Some tiny bubbles, in the first day or 2 usually dry up and dissapear, it is no cause for concern usually,, thats always happened to my cars and it always
went aways after about 2-3 days, depending on the humidity and temp..
He usually does a good job, with the tint itself , but he likes taking apart door
panels and will even lie to you about not doing that, so id personally never
let him touch my car again,, he's also wayyyyyy over-priced..

well, its been known for years that he usually takes off the doorpanels,
making it wayyy easier to tint, not to every single car he does though..
B4 he started the job i made it clear i didnt want him to do that, then after
he finished , he was babbling on so much, that i tricked him into admitting he
did take them off... Every single car i ever had tinted had tiny bubbles in the tint
the day i had them done, and everytime they had fanished when it fully dryed,,
so i wouldnt worry too much over that... Looks nice with the tints, BTW
