whatsup guys my names Stephen, i recently had a toyota camry 2003 but the tranny messed up on my and just ended up selling it and after a long weekend looking for cars i ended up with a 2008 Lexus IS250 with 66k miles on it. Figure i join this forum and see what mods i can start on haha.. I already ordered a bunch of lights off ijdm site and looking to get my windows tinted this weekend. Also want to get a window visor. Any input is appreciated who i should get it from. This is my first lexus and not sure if its normal but seems like my first gear is really short and when i take off it kinda feels like it goes from 1st to 2nd real quck and i almost feel like a pause in between not sure if thats normal or what. Thanks in advanved and heres a pic of my car..
OH and also if anyone in SOCAL does mod work like the headlights housing painted black or anything else along those lines feel free to hit me up. thank you

I love the car. I've been looking to upgrade from my 2003 Civic LX for almost 2 years, and man does it feel great now. I plan on modding it but I'm a total novice so I'm looking forward to seeking guidance from this community.
New to the forum and to the Lexus world!!! Just picked up my new 2008 IS250 last week after trading in my 2004 Acura RSX. Pretty depressed about letting the RSX go, after having it since my junior year of High School and doing plenty of mods to it. Anyways, excited to get some help from all of you about some mods to do!! I have some ideas brewing but need some help on brands (Coilovers, Intake, Exhaust, etc). Give me a shout with your ideas

Whats up CL. Purchased my '07 is350 last year around November. I've owned quite a few of modded cars before and after moving in with the GF, I was quite sure my modding days were over when purchasing this car. Lone and behold the start of this spring, while I was sleeping in, my gf decided to run some errands and she ended up rear-ending a Jeep Liberty. It left a scratch the size of a top of pinky on the jeep, while my car didn't fare so well. The Jeep ended up being a rental car, so it was obvious the driver of the jeep immediately called police and made an accident report and handling the matter privately was off the table, Claims would have to be made so it all got me thinking about putting parts into the vehicle again lol. The first thing on my mind were obviously the '12 LED headlamps. My bumper needed replacing as well so it was also the perfect time to grab a ISF rep bumper. With the snowball affect I've decided to go with springs (if no GF, for sure there woulda been coilovers), and then would also need rims to complete the look.

My next plans are for the springs and rims to go on. For springs I've decided to go with h&r and velgen vmb5's in 19's. Will post some pictures when its done. Also got a MyRide diffuser on the way and that's pretty much it. What do you guys feel about plasti-dipping the chrome to black? My velgens will be gunmental.

I plan on getting an AIT racing style splitter support rods, f sport roof liner swap. Also, in december I hope to purchase a 2014 is350 f sport
Hello CL! Been a lurking memeber here but not new to the lexus family! I'm from the CT area! Mine is all stock for now, but will mod slowly as I am now a new proud father! I previously had a 2002 AR is300 5 speed, sold that and bought a 07 acura tsx (huge mistake!! Burned oil like there was no tomorrow!!!) Traded my acura for this and have no regrets! Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. I just bought a 2008 Lexus IS350 a couple of weeks ago after getting my first big boy job out of engineering school. X-package with 100k miles. Previous owners were on top of their stuff when it came to checkups, oil changes, and replacing parts at the correct mileage. I'm excited to finally have a nice ride and hopefully I can keep it nice. I look forward to using the search bar, and then you guys, for knowledge on this website. Hopefully I attached my picture correctly...
