Default pricing from two different dealers

McGrath Lexus told me for a loaded IS350 it will be in the low 40s
Woodfield Lexus (whom I bough my IS300 from) told me it will be 50-55k

What have you heard about the pricing?

I think there is no point in pricing the IS above the GS.

those prices are obviously wrong. there is no way they could price the IS above their GS product line.

Can they both be correct? No. Logic theory dictates that at least one of them is wrong.

Default The 50k guys are just wrong!

My dealer out here said the low - mid 40s w/ 250 staying in the is300 ballpark. no way the car is gonna get into the 50ks! unless you get the gold package - where the car is actually MADE of gold!

Yup, I think the guy who quoted the $50K+ pricing is pretty clueless

Having driven both the 330i and is350 in the same enviornment this weekend at the TOL in DC, it is my opinion (OPINION) that if Lexus prices the is350 at anywhere near 48-50K, they will sell, roughly, nine of them. It has to come in a couple thousand less than the 330i.

I had been eagerly awaiting pricing, but after this weekend, I'm strongly considering just putting my order in on the BMW.

With that said, it may well be that the Lexus would not seem so lacking in comparison to the 330i in a non-track enviornment, where comfort and quiet will matter more than handling precision -- so I'll probably still wait for a real-world test-drive before making up my mind.

The 330 sport is one hell of a car. I know that I can get one exactly as I want for around 42K tops, so the Lexus will be a tough sell for me at anywhere over 39K or so. It's kind of sad, the only reason I haven't put in an order for a 330 already is because I really didn't want to spend 45K (with taxes, tags, etc) for a new car. I was really hoping that the IS would deliver 90% of the fun factor of the 330, for about 90% of the price. I guess we'll just have to wait a few more weeks.

Who ever that guy is from Woodfield Lexus must be real clueless person. Does he have a clue of what he’s saying? 50K for an IS that’s plain out ridiculous. Use a little common sense if you’re selling a GS at $50K how does he think an IS will cost the same. That’s why I hate car sales men majority of them don’t have a clue about the car all they’re worried about is how much should I screw this guy so I can make my commission. You ask them the most obvious questions and they still don’t know what to say, their first response is I need to talk to my manager. Anyways if by any chance the IS is at $50k no one in their right mind will ever consider to buy an IS. Anything above $40K for an IS not worth it at all. I love Lexus but there are many other good cars that offer the same things with better pricing.

I don't think $44K for a FULLY option IS 350 is out of line. Especially, when you consider the GS 430 is $61K with the same options.

I agree, a fully loaded IS350 including the PCS & radar cruise is reasonable at $44-45 K. The IS has it's own options & strengths which makes it worth the premium, & cannot be directly compared legitimately to any other model of other brands based just on price.

BTW, a salesman at my local Lexus dealer told me the base IS250 RWD should start at C$39,900, the same as the previous IS300. But still no futher details other than that though
