mine started crusting near the edges, never been bothered to replace it though lol

I don't know how to describe my problem but as you can see from the attached picture, you can see the cowl doesn't stick on the mirror, not sure if it is the gum problem or what.

I priced it a while back and it was $330 for a new cowl.
