Is this even trade? 2011 G37x sedan for 2006 IS350 F-Package
Hello. So yesterday, I was just looking through cars.com and found a modified IS350 F-package for 21.5k. I used to love this car so it took my attention very quick. So I contacted the dealer(private) and we talked about cars.. and found out that he was looking another vehicle that is bigger that IS350. My current car is 2011 g37x sedan which I bought few months ago for 22k. I bought AWD bc it was my first time driving in snow here in IL. However, I will be leaving this area soon so I wouldn't need AWD anymore. And I barely use backseats so I don't mind being in small car (small car=more fun to drive IMO). So we traded the car pics and decided trading the cars. What do you guys think? belows are more detailed description of the cars.
2011 G37x Sedan AWD 55,000 Mileage
2006 IS350 Sedan F-Sport Package 63,000 Mileage
*Trade reason: I want smaller car. / He wants bigger car.
Thank you very much for reading! Please give me some opinions!

I did a quick check of KBB values for each using a Raleigh zip code and found the following. Keep in mind that KBB will only let you select IS250 or IS350, and does not give the option of the F-Sport package.... As for the mods that have been done, if they are things you would have wanted to do yourself then that is an added bonus.
Value for your car, selling to private party and selected "Very Good" for the condition.

Value for the IS using the same parameters....

In 2006 there wasn't an F-package available. There was a Sport Package however:
This is from the buyers guide int the sticky post at the top of the forums.

Sport Package: Same as Luxury Package except you do NOT get woodgrain, power rear sunshade, or illuminated scuff plates, but you DO add the sport suspension, sport pedals, and aluminum scuff plates. Always includes the 18" wheels. Can't be combined with any other option package on this list. No longer offered on 2011 and newer models.
HOW TO TELL: If it has memory seats and does NOT have woodgrain.

^ Good clarification on Sport Package by A1 (I have a 2007 IS350 Sport Pkg.). And at least $1K to $2K is needed to offset value diff.
The 2006 needs to be one owner car in excellent condition at 9 years old. He's gonna claim the aftermarket stuff adds value, but push back because it's not Lexus F-Sport suspension or exhaust components, the 3rd party aftermarket stuff adds 0 value and often degrades value.

Don't do it, at the rate things are going, the 2IS is dropping in value due to the 3IS. That being said you could buy a newer decent miles IS or one with lower miles for what your car is worth. The deals are out there you just gotta keep looking. I bought my 2006 is350 with sport package and Mark Levinson (which is almost as loaded as they come from the factory) for 20k after taxes with 79k miles. It may seem high now but the car was worth a little more back then and I'm sure you can get an even better deal.
Also don't be afraid of a higher mileage 350. These cars are built to last a long time assuming you do basic routine maintenance.
Also there is no F- package in 2006. Just sport package. Which is what I have.
