What are you using to stream music via phone to '08 ML head unit?
I like using Spotify. I have an '08 with the ML stereo. I don't think I can stream music via bluetooth; I think only the newer years also music streaming. I'll be using an iPhone. What's the best way to stream music (with high quality sound)? Thanks.

The low budget answer is to connect the ipod to the aux connector using a 3.5 to 3.5mm cable. But you certainly can stream music from your phone using bluetooth. You simply need to buy a bluetooth adapter; I use and happy with this one
Note that if your car has never had the aux port TSB (I think the number is L-SB-0169-09) performed on it, you'll also need to add a ground loop isolator ( ) or you'll get static and whining noises with the bluetooth adapter (at all times), or even with the cable (only when charging the phone while playing music)

Bluetooth was one thing that I was disappointed that my '08 lacked when I bought it, especially since my other car has it. I just use the Aux port for now. Once I get around to tapping directly into the electrical system instead of having to use the cigarette outlets, I'll probably get one of those Bluetooth adapters.

Presuming the system is the same in the ISF, this GROM unit integrates bluetooth with the stock system exceptionally well (have the same unit in the daily).

- Connects automatically each time
- Ability to switch songs via steering wheel
- Phone still connected to car's bluetooth for voice-calls. The GROM unit does not take precedence despite having the hands-free option integrated

I have the PAC SNI on my car, it should be about the same as the TSB.
To the OP: You could also try the MIccus Mini Jack Bluetooth Adapter, it is setup and forget. Once you pair it with your phone, and keep it connected to the power source on your center console, every time you turn you car on it'll turn on and connect with your phone automatically.

I went iSimple Gateway for my '06. Got the SiriusXM unit and the bluetooth adapter is on it's way. (you can only add two different external sources from iPod/iPhone, SiriusXM, HD Radio, Bluetooth, etc.
