IS350 REAR TIRE 315/30R18 whos done it?
Im getting fender work done in the next couple months the shop needs the wheel and tire setup on the vehicle when i drop it off. im going go with 18x8.5 20 offset in the front and 18x10.55 27 offset in the rear. Im going with Bfgoodrich Rival tires 245/40R18 in the front and Im undecided on the rear either 295/35R18 or 315/30R18 not sure how wide I can go with out rubing on the inside... has anyone on here ever run with a 315 tire in the back???

This is the only IS that i know with a 315/30 but as you can see he has modified fenders IS300 315/30
There are plenty of IS-F's with 295's but the is-f is also a bit wider than the is-x50's

Holy beejesus a 315 tire?! I don't think it will fit unless you pull the hell out of the fenders and even then I think you would have some serious rubbing issues considering your wheel width and offset.

Ill have to do alot of mesuring and see how much room I got....if i cant fit the 315 will maybe have to go with 295. Or switch to a different tire and maybe run a 305

If you run 315 on the rear, you need to run a wide front tires as well to make the car balance. If not, like he mentioned, you will have excessive understeer which is worsen the performance. Also, your fuel economy will suffer due to increase traction like this.
For look, it depends on your flavor. I personally think it doesn't flow with our IS. However, 315 tires can be one of a kind lol.

Personally, I'd not see a need to go over a 285 tire; and even then, with the right 245 tire, you'll not even get them to spin on a hard launch. I know this isn't a "traction" issue, mainly for looks and rights; but at what cost?
Do what you will sir! I'll enjoy the pics regardless.

Update....ordered my new wheels went with 19x8.5 20 offset and 19x10.55 27 offset in the rear. Anyone chime in how wide of tire can I run in the front???? I was looking at 255 remember I’m have both front and rear fenders widened. I’m trying to keep the front and rear widths as close as possible as recommended. Info I’m either going with a 295 or 305 in the rear.
