Default Anyone use royal purple oil?

I usually run Mobil in everything I own.... Thinking of switching to royal purple... Anyone use it and have any good or bad feedback?

Hello,
I have used it in both my IS and my RX. I change my oil every 5000 miles so the cost versus reward was not there for me. I've been using Penzoil platinum lately as its been half the price of RP with the OEM filter.

There really isn't much performance difference between synthetic oils if you drive your cars in normal conditions (vice tracking or autocross). With that said, I use RP in both my IS350 and MR2, just because I always have. RP often releases a manufacturers coupon that heavily discounts the oil. I stock pile RP when the coupons are available.

My nephew works at Lexus in the lube dept but he does t know if I should run it or not.... Thanks for the info I think I'll try it this oils change and see how it goes.

I have used in in my motorcycles and in my IS350 and really like it. I just bought some on EBAY from the following link for $85 shipped for 16 quarts. Can't beat the price. I use 10W30 was I track my car so this link was perfect for me. I think the other grades of oil are a little more but still pretty cheap.

if you can get RP at a relatively low cost, I would go for it. I just wouldn't use penzoil.. lol leaves a lot of crud build up

I've used a different type of oil every oil change I've done and I like Valvoline SynPower the most. I used Royal Purple on my last oil change and my engine blew lol. Doesn't have anything to do with the oil but not using Royal Purple again though.

I've been using it for years and live it. I drive my car hard and drag it some times too.
