With Sewellparts closing down, I thought I will order the FSport intake I been meaning to get for a while.

But when I got it, it has a lot of fine scratches on the whole tube (see pic). Is this normal? I also see a layer of dust inside the tube (and a small dent), making me think it's been sitting in the open for a while (maybe on display?)...

Thats how it is. When i ordered mines, it looked like that out of the box. Interesting, i didn't get any "dent" on mines.

Scratches are normal. Dents are not. If you are really that bothered by the scratches you can buff it out, but it will probably get more scratches once you clean it off.

Alright; the dent is not that big, about 1/4" and 1/16" deep. There is also a long scratch near the dent that's different from those fine scratches (it can be felt) that chip away some of the shiny chrome stuff.

I already set away some time this weekend to install it, so I'll just put it in. Thanks guys.
