I've done this a few times myself. Process is pretty simple, perfecting it is the tough part.
1: Take off and sand down the piece
2: Apply the base coat epoxy
3: Once its at a tack, lay on the carbon fiber
4: Apply first coat of clear epoxy, sand once dried
5: Apply further coats of epoxy
6: sand and polish
Done

Thanks for the responses guys! Sorry its taken so long to answer. I don't have a DIY or write up to post but I did follow a DIY someone else did. RDIS250AWD posted the link to it but here it is again. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...bon-fiber.html
It is a very well written DIY and easy to follow. The only things I did different is that I cut out the openings after the first layer of epoxy (so I could get the rounded edges), I didn't paint the edges black, and I didn't use clear coat (just polished the epoxy).
It cost around $75 total for all the materials. Here is a link to the kit that i bought off eBay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/190567604811...#ht_704wt_1163
Its a good kit with good materials.
Thanks again!
