Default Low Gas display on Multi Info Display

Hi Everyone,

Its been bugging me for about a 2 weeks now, But someone correct me if I am wrong. When the low gas display lights up, doesn't the Multi Information Display on the cluster keep flashing how many miles are left till empty?

I swore I saw it do this before up till 2 weeks ago, I am going crazy thinking I pressed something to turn off that option.

If there is a way to turn it on and off could someone please tell me how to toggle this option. If no one has ever seen this message flash on their multi info display please smack some sense into me.

Nope, no such feature. I normally have it on gear display. If the low fuel warning pops up, I switch to the gas remaining until refueling.

If you press the "display" button that's on the right side of your steering wheel, it will toggle to the display of how many miles you have remaining approximately until you have to refill.

I have an 07, and all I get is the red light on the IP. I do find it amazing that the MID constantly will warn you that you are low on washer fluid, but there's no ding, or red exclamation point or MID notice if you are low on gas...

I'm also disappointed that our MID does not show our tire pressures and does not show the amount of time the car has been on.

At least not on the 06. Low fuel warning light remains on but nothing flashing from any other place.
Possible your car was possessed.

I went 34 miles beyond 0 until my car stopped lol. You basically have 2 more gallons of as left in the reserve once it displays 0 for "Approx Range".

I always flip to "miles remaining" if/when the light comes on... I do my best, and often succeed, in fueling before the light comes on...

Bottom of the barrel GM rentals I've had were showing this 5 years ago (exact pressure in each tire) so yeah, Lexus/toyota is massively out of date on this feature- it's one of the comments I sent to Lexus as lacking shortly after I first bought mine October of 2007.

^-----for sure,

I hate being late in the morning because I show low tire pressure and have to go check EACH tire until I find the one below 30psi....
