I guess window reflection is a reasonable possibility ^^
The previous owner of my car probably parked in the lot next to a tall building.

Sorry to hear man I'm quite amazed 80 degree weather would cause those results on the plastic..
I'll rep AZ and common sense. Like I said, I'm in 120F AZ summer heat, with in vehicle temps upwards of 150F, and I never had any issues on my 6 year old car. The bubbling is mist certainly caused by a chemical reaction to some so-called protectant or cleaner.

What color is your car? I suppose no sun visor was used? My job is going to be moving from our current location to a building with no covered parking, so this worries me.

I put tints on my car and use the sun visor any time I park out in the open and it is early or afternoon, I'm hoping it at least helps prevent something like this, temps inside cars in Miami can reach over 110 in the summer.

The most cost effective solution is just use a sun shade when parked under the sun for long periods of time. This will help deflect some of the heat out. And one more thing... Never use armor all for the interior trim. LOl.

Guys, I never user Armor-all or any type of protectants on the console of my car....reason being is that I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO!! Had this been my 1990 300ZX, then yeah maybe a little vinyl cleaner and protector....but nothing touches this IS350's interior but a soft cloth and maybe warm water on some spots. I don't park anywhere that has a reflective mirror or window, as our parking lot at work is a huge flat lot. Regardless of window reflections, mirror effects, etc... these parts are suppose to withstand a exteme temperature rating during R&D....no? For those of you who live in 100+ temps., are you in humid or dry areas? This one has me guessing what else has possibly melted in my Hershey kISs???

Before my IS250 was tinted, I parked in 100+ temps (Dry heat) and never had any issues with pieces melting.

After tint, I started using a sun shade in the front and it doesn't get near as hot as it used too even in 100+ dry heat. I would recommend getting a sun shade, and maybe tint if you don't have it already. Even light tint is better then no tint.

I'm begining to question the authenticity of this "hard way":
