another cool feature about the blackvue is if you have an android, you can download the app. o you can watch videos on your phone and upload it to youtube.

Not a deal maker but just a cool feature i just realized i used but didn't mention.

THe 400G blackvue sucks compared to the ITB 200. Problem is my korean brother over in Korea hasn't been able to get me a ITB200......................YET

In all categories. Video, features, how hot they get, etc... (Although I don't know about the ITB 200 cause I've yet gotten myhands on one.) But the videos on youtube (very rare) on the ITB200 look very sharp in 1080p.

Meh, for the price it is good. You want the best you're gonna pay $220 at minimum. And I suggest the best.
The 350 does get scolding hot. Like having bluetooth, GPS, 3G, and wifi all turned on your phone and using all of them at once. IT gets that hot. And I have heard/read of them failing especially in hot summers.

This. I can't stress this enough. You want to be able to see the license plates AT MINIMUM. No point in buying a camera that won't shoot in at least 720p. At night you'll want 1080p. But these are my opinions from my study and use.

^This. But most of my friends have crapples. They really have no idea what they're missing with an Android phone but that's another discussion for another thread.

This video compares many of the "best" available black box camcorders.
I don't know korean but for what I'm looking for the DR400G is perfect for me.

This guy also has a pretty good review and sample vid: http://www.radardetectorforum.org/ca...am-review.html

Waiting for the day they make these a factory option or required for all cars. Don't want to go down the legal part of that, but I think the benefits outweigh the negatives.

Instead of attaching it to the windshield, is it not recommended to have it sitting on the dash? Or will I get mostly the hood on cam?

It's like leaving the suction cup mark on your windshield when you remove the GPS. I don't want to announce to everyone walking by that I have something in my car.

I mounted it way up high... you can hardly see it from the outside.

Won't you have a wire running from your outlet to your ceiling?

Wire starts down at the fuse block, goes up under the pillar and then under where the headliner is. You cannot see it at all.

So if I mounted it on the dash, would I get a screen full of hood?

personally i would but a contour hd camera, i bought mine for 130 (during xmas sale) plus the window mount, if your looking for a camera that can record without wires thats the way to do it. i sold mine because i would always sing in the car hahahah, but yeah its a good camera to record good videos of your life. plaus its just a hassel to mount and remount the camera so that my car wouldnt get broken into..

Thanks for the vid, exactly the kind of video I wanted to see. Very strange video though, too bad I don't know Korean.

I like the wider angle lens of the ITB.

P.S. Sorry, I accidentally clicked "edit" on your post instead of "quote". I didn't change anything though. Just wasn't paying attention when I was replying, lulz.
