Question Can you turn off Traction & Stability control completely

Just wanted to know if the Traction and Stability controls in the 2010 Lexus IS rear wheel drive models, be completely turned off ?

Will appreciate valuable inputs. Thanks.

To my knowledge it should be the same for 07+.

While stopped press and hold the traction control button for about 5 seconds until both traction lights light up (the trac and VSC or whatever it's called)

It's now off. It will turn back on if you press the button or turn off the car.

Thanks Jeff, but i heard in certain reviews that the electronics(Traction control) still do interfere even if turned off to avoid rear wheels from sliding out. Is this true ?

Does it mean that one of the 2(Traction/Stability) will be on although it shows itself as off ?

Pretty sure they're totally off when you do this. If you just tap the button and only the trac light comes on (one) then it is not totally off. You have to press and hold.

If you press and release the button, traction control turns off, VSC is still on, and when your speed increases, traction control will turn itself back on. If you press and hold it for 3 seconds, traction and stability control (VSC) turn off. At this point there is no interference, and it will not re-enable itself. It is totally off at this point.

EDIT: Until you turn the car off, then it resets.

Jeff

Alright ok ok I get it. Thanks Jeff.

If you don't mind me asking , (it's Off topic) did you have a tire noise issue when you purchased your vehicle ?

If so how did you remedy it ?
