Assuming you mean a 2008 IS350 transmission into a 2006 IS350, then the answer is yes.

Yeah I'm talking about putting a 2008 6AT Transmission into a 2006 Lexus IS350

There are 3 types of 6AT used in a 2008 IS, the A960E (IS250 RWD), A760E (IS350 RWD) and A760F (IS250 AWD). As I said, as long as you get an A760E from an IS350 RWD, you should be good to go.

If your IS was made after 10/05 yes it will however if your IS was made before that it won't. I was in the same boat as you a few months back.

Can you explain more ? What were the reasons that it wouldn't work ?

Check your VIN plate on the driver side door jam! it will have the Transmission model #! Look for A760E

Mine is made through 9/05 why wouldn't it work?

Something to do with the torque converter being different, I spoke to some people they say if you put the old torque converter in the newer transmission it should work.

Just make sure to purchase a used trans WITH a matching converter.

2006-2013 IS350 transmission RWD should be the same.
