Default Trade in value Is350

Hello,
I've been a lurker for a while now and I need a little help. I'm thinking of trading in my 2006 is350 and was wondering what a good trade price would be. The car has 50,500 miles and is a base model with heated and cooled seats with the 18 inch rims. I don't know if this is the right section for this. Any info would be great.

Thanks,
Erick

I did that and brought the trade values to the dealer and they low balled me pretty bad. The car is very very clean so I do not know what to think. They did come up $500 dollars as I was walking away. I also came down 1,500 off my original price which I knew was to high to begin with.

yea because KBB is a complete waste of time and it's not what dealers use. I wish KBB would just close down because they are 100% junk.

Dealers use Galves and sometimes check manheim prices. Go to galves.com and pay $5 for a 24 hour subscription. That's what they use.

Edmunds, Nada, etc... are all BS too btw

IF you can look up "black book". Thats what most dealers use, while I was at the dealer I looked mine up on thier software. After all they sell it at blue book so they are gonna try to make something.

The market in your area will also have an effect.
How many dealers around?
How many IS350's available?
How many with lower miles?

OK just check Galves thanks for the info. Can I get a higher # from what pricing galves give me? How do you check Mannheim prices? They were offering at first 18,500 which is 300 more than I owe. Came up to 19,000 and I walked at that point. The car is very very clean with 50,500 miles on it. No dents, paint work, etc. Base model with 18 inch rims and heat and cooled seats. Yea Kelly blue book sucks for sure.

You have to be a dealer to get Manheim prices, some here in CL might have accounts that they can check for you... They should be able to check what dealers are paying for the IS350 of your year and mileage in your area.

Dealers use auction prices, since we cannot i use ebay. You can use ebay because those are acual people buying cars. I go under completed listings to see what cars like mine are selling for it is the next best thing to an auction.

I just had my car trade in value appraised and it was way lower the KBB. I have a 08 IS350 with 50K miles on. fully loaded. and only got 21.5K. I would not trade in and look to sell private party. Even then $27K is probably the best with the high mileage and being a 06.

I traded in an 07 IS250 a couple of years ago. Before I did, I took it to Carmax just to confirm what I thought it was worth. Their offer was surprisingly high, and I was able to use it as leverage to make the dealer come up on his offer. He originally offered me $23 something. I got him to come up to $26.5K.

davidlmed is correct "black book" will come pretty close to what the dealer will offer. I have 08 IS350, had apprasied at two different dealer they both came in within few hundred dollars to what I was quoted on "black book". KBB, Nada, edmunds all joke dont waste your time with them. Good luck.
