Navigation update 9.1
I was a dumbass and bought my car in June. I should have waited for the 2010 with the hard drive based navigation.
Well, I just got the postcard in the mail that says the new navigation update is now available. Has anyone updated their factory navigation to the 9.1 version?
How much did they charge for labor?

LOL I was the dumbass who just bought an 09 a couple weeks ago and now the 2010's are rolling in! I wish I would have waited too. Oh well, not much changed. I thought about ordering this DVD too, but Im not sure.

Than just get a Garmin and forgo the OEM aspect of a fully integrated unit. Can't understand why people keep complaining about the Lexus Nav system. 99% of the people don't need a disc upgrade, things don't change that much over a couple of years. If you can't afford a $200 upgrade on a $35-$40k purchase you are in over your head.

Amazingly, my dash still not only controls the same non-nav stuff the nav one does, it usually does it faster since I don't have to change screens to change radio presets for example.
Everytime I get a nav loaner I feel like it's got the special-ed controls :P (push the picture of the thingy you want!)
And as noted, unless you live way out in the styx, quite a lot changes in a couple of years
