that sucks.. It's been raining and it's been too cold for me to work on it. My fingers get so numb and i end up messing the wires.

lol...just do them under the hood then, less wires and there is a blk box on the drivers side that you can tap them both. i wish i had those pics still to help you out i thought they would stay up on here but I was wrong. not into this whole picture stuff. Javy tapped under his hood have him take a pic for you guys and see if that makes it easier

EDIT: ill send some of our cold your way and you will see its not so bad. got to take the GS this am on icy roads!! must say it did very well

alright, i think i'm gonna have to do this mod now. i hate seeing that the '09 has them and not mine! for those of you who have done this mod, does the color of the LED match the turn signals? it could just be how it turns out in pics, but they seem a lot yellower than the amber lights.

also, does this void warranty?

just wanted to know before i dive into this.

^^The colors are close enough IMO, the LEDs are probably a little lighter shade of yellow.

Yep, I think they are pretty close in color.

I recall there was talk of a NorCal meet to do some installs. Now, with this great DIY write-up and many folks having ordered their units from nigel, are any folks still interested in getting together? I can organize and supply tools, if there are owners out there looking to perform the install.

I think most of NorCal 2IS already got theirs installed
but I'm pretty sure there are some others who would like to get together for DIY

actually it wasn't a 100% successful install..hahaha now my rear window on the drivers side doesn't work. I tried everything too. Rolling down and up the windows on each side without using the automatic up and down. Unplugging my battery and redoing the up and down thing. Checking almost every fuse in my car...

blown fuse??
when you disconnect your battery, you have to reset your windows
which means, that your automatic up and down won't work until it is reset
