BTW, I don't remember having a problem with the factory dunlops pulling right
The discussion is about Turanzas not the RE050 tire. The RE050 tires are great! So are the Bridgestone S02A's!

There are just as many complaints with the RE050's according to members on CL. The GOOD 050's are the RE050A pole positions, according to members on this site.

Yes, you are correct; Lexus refers to them as "High Performance" Summer tires while Tire Rack describes them as "Grand Touring" Summer tires (presumably "high performance" given their size). In any event, when they are new, I find them to ride smoothly and quietly. But I guess their primary job is to go around corners at insane speeds (which I never do) so I can't comment on this aspect of their performance.

Well, as touring tires, I would say their primary job is to ride smoothly at a range of speeds and surface conditions. I don't think anyone here is ragging on the ER33s for being unable to match high performance capabilities of other tires; that's just not what they were made for. IMO, people dislike the ER33s because they aren't capable of even decent touring performance. More specifically, touring tires should have little to no tramlining, should be quiet, comfortable and confidence inspiring for highway cruising. It has been mine, and I gather others', experience that they don't do any of these things well.

Default Flat Tire with only 130 miles of use

Hello Everybody.
I leased a Lexus IS250 to days ago an today i got a flat tire driving to work.
I put the spare one and went to the next tire service shop. They found a cut in the exterior wall of the tire and said they couldn't repair it. So the tire is useless after only 130 miles.
They said it was maybe a nail or bolt. I didn't hit anything with the tire.
Do you think it was only bad luck or sombedoy else had the same or similar problems with the Turanza ER33?
Thank you.

Any relation to my Bridgestone Potenzas?
RE760 sports 92w whatever that means. My car rides smooth as silk and keeps grip pretty darn good.

Other than manufacturer, no.

Potenza = High Performance Summer Tire
Turanza = High Performance All-Season Tire

Apples and oranges. I've had three sets of Potenza tires (not on the Lexus) and loved them all. The Turanza tires are by far the worst set of tires I've ever experienced.

Default 7,000 Miles and Cord showing!

Replaced the front tires on my wife's IS250 last year @ 39,000 miles. Today I took the car in for 45,000 mile service and was dumb founded when the service manager told me we needed new front tires on her Lexus, he is calling Bridgestone to see if we can get some relief as obviously the tires are defective, alignment and balance has been kept up with so I'm waiting on a reply.

I had this exact problem. slow leak coming out of the rear right tire, took it in and said that it was unrepairable cut in tire wall. tread is still about 5/32s. guess i'll be looking at replacements for all 4 now. just picked this car up last week too. argh....

its not the tires, lexus ISs destroy tires due to design defect. no alignment in the world can fix that problem.
