^ the .pdf link works for me. I'm just confused on what route to go w/ the cabin air filter. I've read in the Replaced Cabin Air Filter... thread that there's a newer, less sturdy model of the cabin air filter so people share a certain model number to look for which should be better.

But I've also heard that the blitz cabin air filter is washable and reusable so that could save money in the long run. I'm just not sure where to find it or what to pay. I'm guessing I should go the ebay route. I need to do something about the air filter too. I'm at just a little over 24k miles now and still haven't done anything in my 2008 IS 350

is the method for the 250 the same?

i remember somewhere someone noting that the car had to be in recirc or not (don't remember which one) and if it was in the wrong mode it could be a problem.

i saw fram had a replacement filter - about $15. should i stay away form this?

nice write-up, thanks for the info.

A nice writeup but I heard something similar about the recirc too, can anyone shed light on this?

I've may have missed this in this thread, but if I'm not mistaken you better make sure the the A/C is in the RECIRC mode before attempting to remove the cabin filter housing or you could damage the clips.

Which button is RECIRC mode, where it recycles the air inside the cabin or gets fresh air from outside?

just curious, is the cabin filter also refered to as the AC filter or is that a separate section of the car?
