Default Clear Bra Done at Aerotect

So I finally got the Clear Bra done at Aerotect yesterday.
About 2.5 hours drive one way all the way from Chula Vista.

I brought two cars just in case Aerotec messes up one.
Always have a back up.

Franciso is standing by the door wondering which car to practice on first.

Thumbs up

then I remembered...........I can't afford two Lexus IS250.
Francisco also already had 100+ practice on 2IS so I think he can do this with his eyes closed.

The other Tungsten Pearl is owned by another Club Lexus Member, Neil.
I know he has great taste in cars as he got the exact same car with manual transmission with all the same options..........kind of rare.

I hope I drove home with the right car .

Now about Francisco and the Aerotect.
I was in the afternoon at 1:30'ish while Neil drove in past 2pm.
This was Francisco's 3rd and 4th car of the day.
All I could say is Francisco lives up to all the hype that has been on this board. His work is very clean and much better than the clearbra I got on my 04 Acura MDX done by another installer.

One thing impressed me the most was that about 5:30pm when things were wrapping up, Francisco started to retrace all the edges and check for the tiniest bubbles to make sure installation was perfect. I'm sure Francico was exhausted (started the day at 8:30am, I saw him take only 10 minutes for late lunch) but yet, he absolutely made sure everything was perfect so that I don't have to back for adjustments.

I can't recommend highly enough as most of you have been.
It is worth the time, gas, and trouble to get there at La Verne.
Francisco did tell me I was beat out in terms of driving distance by couple guys from San Francisco who drove down just to get clear bra installed by him.

If you're in anywhere in Southern California (or Northern California for that matter), AeroTect is the way to go in terms of quality and price.

Robert, Francisco's partner working hard on my door edge after a long day.
PS. I'll bet you can't see the clear bra...the picture is after extended hood, bumper, lights, mirror, and door cups installed.

I have an appointment tomorrow with them at 1.

The thing that confused me when I spoke to Francisco is that when I asked him about the new Ventureshield stuff he said the 3M is actually better in the long run. He really didnt seem to happy about the ventureshield stuff?? I do not know why. Maybe its a tougher installation and he doesnt want to put the time into it?? I have no idea. He said if I want ventureshield then he can install it but he didnt care for it. I wonder what the real reason is.

Because Venture does not have a clear coat, it tends to oxidize/fade overtime if you don't constantly maintain and update the coat of wax on it. The latest 3M film has definitely improved over the past. I have both 3M and Ventureshield on my IS and the 3M film has held up much better than the Venture I have on my car.

The new venture film has a clear coat already and has lifetime warranty 3m only five years

Both are great films. Even if venture has a lifetime warranty, it's only good if the product is defective. If your vehicle is hit with an object no clear bra can withstand, you still have to replace the whole section of film...regardless of warranty. Durability and I can attest to this as i've had both films on my car for quite some time and a considerable amount of mileage in the last 3+ years, the 3M has faired much better than Venture.
