Default volume auto adjust?

So i blew out my right rear speaker the other day...
how you might ask?

I performed the nav hack, and ever since, i've been watching dvds full of music videos on my nav. The only problem is that you have to raise the volume up to max to get decent volume level. So lets say you swtich from dvd to radio.... KABOOOOM

I know my old accord was able to slowly step up volume if it was really high, but my lexus doesnt >_< Anyone know why?

how can i prevent something like this from happening int he future?

I dont know how different the levinson is from the non levinson, but I know that my Nav non-levinson system remembers what volume each mode was using... for example, listening to the radio i use 35, listening to AUX i use 45.... when I switch from AUX @ 45 to RADIO.... the volume goes back to 35.

So you really shouldnt have a problem when switching from DVD to RADIO if it works the same as mine.... not sure though.

I believe it only remembers the volume level of certain modes... If I remember correctly, the system remembers the volume level of the AUX mode, but the CD and Radio modes share the same volume... or something like that.

and btw I have non-ML NAV

My ML-Nav remembers the volume for each mode. My car is a July 2006 build.
