Product note says: Illuminated Door Sill upgrade only applies to IS models equipped with Sport Package.
Does that mean it's plug-n-play on Sport equiped IS'es, anyone confirm? Thanks.

Ok, this may be a stupid question, but don't the non-sport packages come with the illuminated scuff plates? If so, doesn't everyone who is installing them have the sport package?
I have the sport package and would love to install these, but am a little worried about my wiring skills....but I like the sound of plug and play How exactly is the plug and play? After taking off the original scuff plate, is there a plug under it that you can just plug it into? I know I know, I am a rookie, but I am trying to learn :P
Thanks.
Oh yeah, if anyone has pics or the walk thru of the plug and play that would be great. (Unless it is identical to this post but not having to cut wires.)

There are 4 levels of trim on the IS: base, premium, lux and sport. My understanding is as follows:
- Lux has the illuminated scuff plates
- Base and Premium do not have the illuminated scuff plates, but can be plugged in, but require additional wiring, as the ecu isn't "configed" for them
- Sport does not have illuminated scuff plates, but they can be plugged in without any wiring/spicing, ecu is ready for them

Please Help!
Hi guys, hopefully a member who did this is browsing this late. I received my shipment today with TWO passenger doors from sewell one was the non illuminated, the other was illuminated. Now this is AFTER they shipped it to the wrong place to begin with. Bottom line though is the passenger side is not illuminating I've tried testing it even with the garrage close in case the light sensor triggers it, nada.
My only guess is that to complete the circuit both plates need to be in so if somebody could please pop one out and verify that the remaining panel that's plugged in stops working i'd greatly appreciate it!
