A T-76 is still a T-76. I wish I could see it, but I live in Arkansas.

If you guys get a chance post a dyno and some videos from that meet. I would love to see it.

Hello everyone.

It has been a long time that I have visited this site, last november I beleive.

I see that there are many many old peeps here from before, good to see you all.

OK back to topic in hand.

Full 2JZGTE motor swap vs. SRT Stage 4.

Well it depends on the customers wants and needs and ofcourse $$$ available to spend.

The most economical would be to do the GTE short block swap and fortify the head ths SRT way.

The above setup with the right size turbo, intercooler and fuel will result with 700-750 RWHP.

I'll give you an example we got 460 RWHP with pump gas @ 16PSI and 520 @ 19PSI on race gas all were done @ 90 degree weather and VERYVERY conservative tuning via Haltech E6K.
The setup was done with a T76 turbo (not even in the sweet boost range of the T76) stock GE head and GTE short block. V160 tranny, 3" single piece driveshaft, GS400 rear w/TRD LSD, TT halfshafts, etc.

Preliminary runs at the track:
20PSI boost ran a 12.6 @ 117MPH, 1.88s-60' (missed third gear shift )
21PSI boost ran a 12.5 @ 121.5MPH, 2.1s-60' (spun first and second gears)

With the MPH acheived we can see that the car is very capable of low 11's at the 20-21PSI boost levels.

At higher boost levels and better slicks, this car is very capable of runs in the low-mid 10's.

All in all if you want to be in the 700RWHP range then do the short block swap instead of the entire engine swap, you will end up spending a lot le$$. Just make sure you have someone that has done it before do it for you.

I will try to answer more ?'s as time permits. Hope that helped.

BTW aT76 does have lag, however for 1/4 mi. ET purposed, if you have the Haltech done right you have ZERO lag. Ex. We can build upto 15PSI boost just staged at 6K RPM with the car not even moving.
And with the car's new redline at 8500 RPM you will always be in the boost RPM range of the vehicle after shifts.

Congrats on the T-76 Mo, now hows my turbo coming? You need to take some time off on the IS300 and start working on the GS300 Kit. You know I'm still waiting for it.
