2005 with 80K - High milage?
A few days ago I decided to buy a 2005 Lexus IS300 with 80K Miles. Price was $10,900.00, which is right on about what KBB says it should be. Came with a system in it- pioneer. It has a clean carfax, and has had two previous owners. The interior is flawless with the exception of the common dash problem. I looked into it, and the whole dash replacement directly from lexus is about $495 for the part. My buddy and i can put it in. Tires are new, and recently serviced. There are some small paint issues - Nothing touch up won't fix. Car is grey with black leather interior.
Just wondering if I got a good deal here. And if the milage is high. I didn't really blink because I've had toyotas last me forever. Got a free lo-jack and alarm system with the deal, and free detail.
I have a contract cancellation option that expires today, so any input today would be great.
Thanks guys.

I think that's a pretty good deal. hard to think that someone would pay $10k for a car w/ that mileage, but if you're happy with it there's no fault. those cars keep their value and are very reliable. I traded my is300 when I bought my 3is. it had 270+k miles on it and it still booked for almost $4.5k and it wasn't as clean or nice as that one. of course I didn't get what it booked for but $3k for a trade from a dealer and that's saying something about these cars. I miss my old bucket though! had a lot of found memories...one of the unicorns of that model. yellow and stick shift!
before you go to a dealer for that part, I'd look in a junk yard. you could get it cheaper there if you find one in good condition.
