front diff oil change question
1. Can I use mobil 1 75W-90 synthetic gear lube LS? This is GL-5 rated.
2.What tool would you recommend for removing fill plug? I read its 14mm hex head.
3. Can I fill the front diff trough the drain plug if need be? Its messy but I seen it done on european cars.

yes you can use this
yes use the hex heads. As a general rule, crack the fill bolts open first, if you drain the oil then find out you cant open the fill port for whatever reason, you have a huge problem. Turkey baster is a good tool to fill up diffs if you dont have a hand pump, and its less messy and less pump clean up
doubt it, the drain bolt is on the bottom and gravity is fighting you

Sorry for posting on 1st gen forum. I meant to post on 2nd gen but I'm on my cell phone.
I do have a hand pump so thought my biggest challenge would be pressure building inside the diff as there would be no outlet for air if I'm using drain hole to fill.
