Default Which car comes with 2JZ?

Hey everyone, new here.

I'm looking at getting a new car since mine is giving me problems... I've for the longest time wanted a mk4supra but I can't afford that kind of car. So I figured I'd at least like to have a car with the 2JZ engine. Here's my question, what does the IS300 2JZ engine look like? I cannot seem to find out the difference. For instance, in this ad, which engine do they have?

A picture is worth a thousand words...

Thanks everyone for any help you can provide!

^ This is a pic of a highly modified 2JZ-GTE

The IS300 has the 2JZ-GE, which looks like this

^ that second picture is actually a highly modified 2JZ-GE with a SRT FFIM and GTE valve covers. I can tell by the water neck hose on the driver's side, the GTE has it on the passenger side.

To the OP there are 4 types of 2JZ engines
-2JZ-GE
-2JZ-GTE
-2JZ-GE VVTI
-2JZ-GTE VVTI

All of them have their differences, which is explained here

http://www.supraforums.com/forum/sho...on-information

As for what cars were offered with these engines in the US, they were in the 92-00 SC300, 93-05 GS300, 01-05 IS300, and 93-98 Supra.

The 2JZ-GTE is what you're probably thinking of, the 2JZ-GE is the engine 1997soarer posted up and is the more common non-turbo version founded in the cars I listed.

Don't feel bad about not being able to afford the MK4. I had one and the Is300 is a much better everyday driving car.

I stand corrected. Even I didn't notice the waterneck and pwr steering tank until you said something.
