Default Brake bracket fit issue

I was doing the brakes on my 04 is300 and the caliper guide pin broke off inside the front right brake bracket due to corrosion. So i bought a new bracket from Autozone a A1 Cardone part the part will not line up with the mounting points on the steering knuckle. Does anyone know what is going on with this? i already gave my old bracket to the store for the core fee. I'm assuming that the left and right front brake brackets should be mirror copies of each other but the one that i ordered for the right side has more narrow bolt holes then the left one. help please

Wake133, What part number did they give you? I'll double check to make sure they gave you the correct part.

The part numbers should be 14-1359 Left front and 14-1358 Right front.

yeah the part numbers are correct, 1359 and 1358. the bolt pattern on the left bracket was wide enough to fit but the right bracket was not. makes no sense that they wouldn't be mirror copies of each other. Why would the left have a wider bolt pattern and right be narrow?

Sounds like the right bracket must have been boxed wrong with a unit that is very similar.
I would order another on for that side.

If an OEM or different parts store bracket fits your knuckle then the Autozone bracket is obviously wrong. In order to get a refund, you should return the bracket soon before Autozone ships your original out. I would probably call the store manager first.
Have you owned your 04 IS since it was new? If not, there is a small chance the steering knuckle and brake assembly were replaced with a different (incorrect) unit sometime after the car was built.
