Hey everyone, I know this is an odd way to introduce myself, but I picked up an 01 IS300 a couple days ago and the first night I had it, I'm pretty sure part of the crankshaft pulley snapped off. I've already ordered a new pulley/balancer and a Gatorback belt, but I was hoping someone could post a picture of their pulleys so I can see exactly what broke. The belt screams now so I can't really drive it anywhere but when it broke I managed to trick it into running quiet enough to limp it home.

The ribbed part of the crankshaft pulley along with the outer lip is gone. I didn't know they could fail like that, but I guess that's better than any other way it could've happened.

The outer ring? It happens from time to time, the crankshaft pulley is more then just a pulley, its a dampener too... Because of this, there is San inner steel core, rubber isolator and then outer steel pulley...

Best of luck!
