Default cam caps

I have heard the cam caps aren't interchangable from different 2jz heads due to exact tolerances. Has anyone confirmed this or tried? I have a broken cam cap. It is the one that has the VVTi solenoid on top of it and I wanted to use another of this same cap from another 2jz vvti. Any input?

Cam caps don't have part numbers because they aren't sold individually. You have to buy a whole new head to get new caps too. There are lettering codes on them but I doubt they help for matching with another cap though.
