So I just bought my Lexus about 2 weeks ago (2002 IS 300) and my CD player & cassette doesn't work. The cassette spits out after 10 minutes and the CD player says "error 1" now I wanted to keep the stock look to the car but I am now considering just replacing and putting a new one in. I have always bought Alpine and Pioneer decks but since the space is so big what can i put in instead? Any suggestions to keep it looking tasteful? Thanks.

The pioneer app radios are pretty awesome and it fits perfect in there is a double din touchscreen with navi bt and a bunch of other cool apps check it out http://appradio.pioneerelectronics.com/app-radio2.html

I'm looking at the pioneer avh x5500bhs. It does everything but navi and you can find it for just under $400. Seems like the best bang for the buck IMO.

I think that error 1 is because the laser lens is dirty.. That was the problem with mine.. It is an pretty easy fix

GO AFTERMARKET!!! I have a pioneer nav in mine. it looks clean and I dont have any reliability issues. All stock CD players go bad.

I went ahead an bought a double-din a Kenwood DPX500BT. It had more features than the pioneer double-dins. thanks for the input ill post pics when i finish the install.
